Top Safety Accreditation awarded to Sapphire Vehicle Services

Vehicle maintenance solution expert, Sapphire Vehicle Services, has been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for its unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

Safecontractor are a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Employing in excess of 200 employees, Sapphire prides itself on delivering a ‘one stop shop’ provision for commercial vehicle maintenance. With a £14.6 million turnover, its ever growing infrastructure supports customers across a variety of industries including retail, food delivery, transport and logistics.

The company’s application for Safecontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a unified standard across the business.

Safecontractor is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contracted services.

As part of the Safecontractor scheme, Sapphire has undergone a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Following its accreditation Sapphire Vehicle Services will now be listed on the Safecontractors database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website.

Client-organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, enabling them to vet potential contractors ebfore entering a partnership.
