Investing in the Next Generation
At Sapphire Vehicle Services, we take great pride in our apprenticeship programme. We are committed to providing aspiring technicians with the practical experience, technical knowledge and professional support they need to build successful, long-term careers within the commercial vehicle industry.
Our apprentices gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside skilled technicians, developing their confidence and capabilities while learning the importance of maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Seeing individuals progress from their first days in the workshop to becoming qualified professionals is incredibly rewarding. Their achievements reflect both their own hard work and the dedication of the colleagues, mentors and teams who have supported them along the way.
This year, we are delighted to recognise six successful apprentices:
Meet Our 2026 Apprenticeship Graduates
Joe Brown | Basingstoke Depot
“Completing my apprenticeship was very rewarding to me. In the workshop, I learned the tools, products, and skills needed to do the job, and at college I learned the technicalities and legislation. I always enjoyed going up to college for the 2 week blocks, seeing my mates and progressing with my knowledge of the job. Sapphire gave me this experience and treated me as not just an apprentice but as a technician. I feel this way because of how I was treated throughout the apprenticeship and the training courses I have done/been put on. My colleagues have been massively supportive from the start; any issue I had they would help to the best of their abilities and make sure I understood what I was doing, where I went wrong and what to do in the future.
Overall, I’m very happy with how my apprenticeship went and I’m looking forward to see my skills and abilities progress at Sapphire.”
Harvey Weeden | Dartford Depot
“I found my time at college and throughout my apprenticeship very informative and felt like I had all the support I required, from the team at the college but mainly from colleagues/supervisors at work, and the very few concerns I had were sorted for me in a timely manner”
John Nacamavuto | Faverdale Depot
“ I came to Sapphire Vehicle Services in my third year of apprenticeship, after the original company I worked for re-located. Working here I gained more knowledge and experience on different vehicles, which helped in my final exams to become a HGV technician. I look forward to continuing my career within Sapphire Vehicle Services.”
Harry Richmond | Haydock Depot
“During my time here at Sapphire Haydock, I have grown in confidence and developed new skills whilst at college and used them on a day-to-day basis, which enables us to keep the Sainsbury’s kit flowing…..
….I have recently qualified to carry out Tachograph installations & calibrations here at Haydock, plus I’m looking forward to completing the LOLER training course….
…..I have grown in confidence not just with my work colleagues but also with my time away from work”
Braydon Danz | Faverdale Depot
“ I found my apprenticeship challenging but rewarding, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and experience which has enabled me to complete my apprenticeship. Without my managers and colleagues help, support and guidance, I would have found this a lot harder to complete. I look forward to furthering my career within Sapphire Vehicle Services.”
Tom Webley | Sherburn Depot
“The college experience was good. I met new people and gained a lot of knowledge, especially in my 1st year.
I would of liked some consistency with tutors as some left and were replaced, but I got all the help I needed. The equipment used at college was of a good standard, and the college itself was well set out, clean and tidy.
Working for SVS I enjoy. The staff are good to work with, helpful and there’s a good working environment.”
