Sapphire Vehicle Services is celebrating after winning the ‘Workshop of the Year’ at this year’s Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards 2026.
The award, generously sponsored by Transport Training Services (TTS) was presented to Darren Russell at the glittering gala dinner attended by over 550 guests, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in South Belfast on Thursday evening.
Sapphire Vehicle Services impressed judges John Byrne, OE Sales and Technical Support Services and Darren Getty, Technical Support Engineer from BPW during their site visit with the outstanding presentation of their workshop and the consistently high standards embedded in their operating processes.
Judged against a partial IRTEC assessment, Sapphire Vehicle Services were the clear winners demonstrating attention to detail and a real commitment to best practice.
Since their inception back in 2002, the Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards, organised by Hillsborough media and event’s company 4SM, have become a major annual gathering for our road transport, logistics and supply chain community.
This celebration of excellence and achievement provides the perfect opportunity to recognise the companies, individuals and teams whose contribution helps keep the economy moving.
Compered by the BBC’s Mark Simpson these awards continue to celebrate and reward those businesses that go the extra mile – and Sapphire Vehicle Services now joins an impressive list of previous Export & Freight Awards winners
This year’s hugely successful event once again demonstrates the strength and importance of the local transport and logistics sector, and Sapphire Vehicle Services’ success is a fitting recognition of the hard work and outstanding contribution they have made, and continue to make, to this industry.
